Is Questy free?
Yes. A whole class plays free: unlimited games with up to 75 players in each. Plus, at $48 a year, adds the AI quiz maker and rooms of up to 300. Teams and event passes cover bigger rooms. Plus and Teams can be tried free for 30 days, without giving a card.
Do players need an account?
No. Players go to questy.io/join, enter the six-digit PIN from the big screen, type a nickname and pick a character. No email address and no sign-up.
What do we need to play?
One screen everyone can see, such as a projector, a TV or a shared screen on a video call, and a device with a web browser for each player.
How many people can play at once?
75 on the free plan, 300 on Plus, 1,000 on Teams, and 2,000 with an event pass.
Can AI write the quiz for me?
Yes. Describe the topic or upload your own notes, curriculum or an old test as a PDF, Word or text file, and get a draft in under a minute. You check and edit every question before it is saved. Every account gets three drafts to try, and Plus includes it.
Does everyone see the full ranking?
The big screen shows the leaders after each question. On their own device each player sees whether they are climbing or slipping, with a line from their character, and their exact place at the end. You can switch exact places on in Settings.
Is it suitable for schools?
Players give only a nickname. There are no adverts and no tracking cookies. The privacy page says exactly what is stored.
